Meet Mieliynd V Thakur — civil engineer, infrastructure professional, research scholar, Jyotisha researcher, and student of Occult Sciences.
EXPERIENCE MEETS EXPLORATION
Mieliynd’s primary professional career spans more than three decades in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure. His responsibilities have included Project Manager, Works Manager, General Manager, Vice President, and Director.
Alongside that career, Jyotisha and Occult Sciences have remained a significant field of study. He began studying astrology around 1988, observing and testing its principles against real-life situations over the decades that followed.
During his infrastructure career, he studied horoscopes for colleagues, professionals, businesspeople, government officers, contractors, and others who approached him informally. This was a parallel field of study, rather than a formal commercial astrology consultancy.
He describes this stage of life as his “second innings”: a greater focus on systematic research, academic work, continued learning, and preparation for a responsible professional practice through Mitra Occults Astro Consultancy.
ACADEMIC & RESEARCH DIRECTION
His aim is to examine traditional knowledge systematically, observe principles in real-life situations, and share learning responsibly.
Mieliynd has undertaken specialised programmes in Nakshatra Nadi, Nakshatra Astrology, and KP Astrology, alongside the other studies documented below. He is also pursuing doctoral-level academic work in Occult Studies through an online self-study model. This programme is ongoing and is not represented as a completed doctorate.

An analytical, predictive, and practical approach that explores possibilities without creating fear or dependence.
Depending on the question, his intended approach brings together Vedic Astrology, Nakshatra analysis, Nakshatra Nadi, KP Astrology, Dasha systems, and planetary transits to explore why an indication appears and how the factors interact.
Timing is central to his research. An indication needs to be considered alongside relevant Dasha periods, transits, and Nakshatra principles to place possible opportunities and challenges in context.
Astrology is an interpretative framework, not a promise of absolute certainty. It should support understanding while leaving practical decisions, individual judgment, and action with the person seeking guidance.
Mieliynd does not believe that every astrological difficulty calls for an expensive gemstone, ritual, or commercial remedy. When a traditional practice is considered relevant, his preference is to explain its traditional basis and rationale rather than prescribe it mechanically.
PROPOSED CONSULTATION PHILOSOPHY
The proposed model begins with the individual’s actual question. Its purpose is to explore relevant astrological factors, important timing periods, potential opportunities and challenges, and the matters that remain within the person’s practical control.
Any discussion of traditional remedies would include whether they are relevant and why. The intended outcome is clarity, timing, perspective, and responsible guidance.
Adults who want to understand their horoscope in depth: professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives, government officers, and people navigating career transitions or major professional decisions.
It also welcomes those exploring relationships, family matters, recurring life patterns, and serious students of Jyotisha. The initial geographical focus is India, with the possibility of an appropriate online consultation format for people elsewhere.
WHERE THE JOURNEY STANDS
The formal commercial astrology consultancy has not yet launched. Current priorities are research, specialised study, academic work, and preparation for future professional consultation.
Knowledge and continued learning are the primary motivation at this stage. Mitra Occults is being developed as a space for responsible interpretation, astrological research, and education, with transparency about the difference between decades of informal study and a commercial practice.
